My passion is to empower others to know God in deep and transforming ways. Speaking from the heart takes courage; I value providing a welcoming and safe space for people to engage their questions about faith, and to attend to their longings and fears.
I am deeply aware of God's comfort and restoration for broken hearts and shattered souls, and have experienced this myself. My own life experiences have helped me to appreciate the rich ways God works through our deep desires, and even our pain, to reveal God's own beauty and love to us. |
A Safe Place
|
I welcome those who have spiritual questions and are exploring and seeking, those who are Christian believers, and those who feel themselves to be at the margins or even on the outside. I am sensitive to power inequities and a person’s safety issues, including language and images about God.
In discovering God, we discover ourselves. I am committed to spiritual adventure, personal integrity, and honest, alert searching prayer. Creating a safe, confidential opportunity for others to tell their sacred story, and to receive and respond to God's love brings me joy and causes me to depend on the Spirit. |
As a member of Spiritual Directors International, I subscribe to their ethical standards and practices. This means that I am committed to reverence for the dignity, equality, rights and gifts of all persons and our conversations are confidential to the extent allowed under the law.

Training and
|
I have offered spiritual direction to individuals and groups since 2006. I earned a master’s degree in Spiritual Direction from Seattle University’s ecumenical School of Theology and Ministry in 2009. I have spent time in a variety of Christian faith traditions: Covenant, Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Mennonite and non‐denominational. I believe that the Creator longs to speak to every part of who we are and that faith should impact how we live our lives every day.
